Each 10′ x 10′ booth will be set with 8′ high back drape‚ 3′ side drape dividers in show colors. By order of the Fire Marshal, nothing may be attached to this drape. Booths 300 sq ft or less will receive a one-line identification sign. Booths larger than 300 sq ft may receive receive a one-line identification sign upone request.
Exhibits do not include carpet; however, the 10 ft. aisles will be carpeted in show colors. The Star of the South mandates that if you order carpet from Freeman for your booth, the carpet must meet the aisle carpet and fit your booth size.
Exhibits also do not include furnishings. Displays, tables, chairs, carpet, drapes other than show drapes, and specialty furniture may be ordered through Freeman. Any additional booth needs such as electrical power, AV, floral, etc., may be ordered through the proper show contractors. Forms for these items may be found when you order online or in your exhibitor kit.
Union Labor may be required for your exhibit installation and dismantle. Please carefully read the Union Rules and Regulations in your exhibitor kit or when you order online to determine your needs. Exhibitors supervising labor will need to pick up and release their labor at the Labor Desk. Refer to the order form under Display Labor for Straight time and Overtime hours.
Exhibitor move-in will take place on Wednesday, January 31 from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. All exhibits must be fully installed by Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. Freight moved into the facility after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31 will be subject to overtime rates.
Exhibitor move-out will take place on Friday, February 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Freight will be moved out of the facility on Friday and will be subject to overtime rates. All exhibitor materials must be removed from the exhibit facility by 11:00 p.m. Freeman will begin returning empty containers to exhibitors to place materials in as soon as the aisle carpet is removed from the exhibit floor. This entire process will take approximately 2 hours. To ensure all exhibitor materials are removed from the exhibit facility by the exhibitor move-out deadline, please have all carriers check-in at the Freeman Service Center by 7:00 p.m. on Friday or freight will be re-routed.
Freeman will accept crated, boxed or skidded material beginning Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the following address. Materials arriving after January 26, 2018 will be received at the warehouse with an additional after-deadline charge.

Freeman will accept shipments at the show site at the following address beginning 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Shipments arriving prior to this date will be refused. Any charges incurred for early freight accepted by the facility are the responsibility of the Exhibitor. You may provide your carrier with the phone number if necessary, 713-770-6750. Freeman must receive all shipments and deliver them to each exhibitor’s booth.

Shipping labels for advance and direct shipments may be downloaded from the Star of the South website beginning October 2017.
Freeman Exhibitor Services Department will gladly prepare your outbound Material Handling Agreement and labels in advance. Complete the Outbound Shipping Form and your paperwork will be available at show site. Be sure your carrier knows the company name and booth number when making arrangements for shipping your exhibit at the close of the show.
Please note: All items and materials that must be brought into the facility may be subject to Material Handling Charges and are the responsibility of the exhibitor. This also applies to items not ordered through the Official Show Vendors.
Please be aware that disposal of exhibit properties is not included as psrt of your material handling charges. Please contact Freeman for your quoted rates and rules applicable to disposal of your exhibit properties.

Exhibitors can drop off equipment behind the building in the loading docks area. Entrance Gate is behind the GRB (Across from Hall B) off of Chartres Street across from Walker Street. Move-in and Move-out days there is no charge to park behind the GRB Exhibitor Lot (Lot 4). During show days the cost is $10 per day to park behind the GRB. This is a cash only Lot. First come first serve. If the lot fills up, exhibitors will have to park in the surrounding areas mentioned under the Housing and Travel Tab.
The Exhibitor Lounge is located in the back of Hall E and offers refreshments in the morning and afternoon.
A food court is located in the back of Hall E and additional cafes and restaurants are located on the first level of the convention center. A series of restaurants will be open on the ground floor of the George R. Brown Convention Center and in the Marriott Marquis Houston. Grotto, Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, McAlister’s Deli, and Bud’s Pitmaster BBQ, Biggio’s, Biggio’s sports bar concept, along with Pappasito’s Cantina and the recently-expanded Starbucks at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The Hilton Americas Hotel also offers the 1600 Bar + Grille and The Lobby Lounge, perfect for meeting friends or business associates, offering cocktails, beers and an extensive wine list.. Within walking distance are The Shops at the Houston Center, the Houston Pavilions and Discovery Green, which also offer numerous restaurant establishments.
